Hi! I’m Dr. Patricia Mills, Wholistic Medical Doctor, Specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, practicing Functional Medicine. 

I was in my mid-30s when my body’s health started declining. 

I had painful heavy periods, uterine fibroids, acne, face dermatitis, infertility, low mood (with irritability and anxiousness), gut health disturbances, AND I struggled with my body shape…to name a few.

I just didn’t feel like myself — and like you, I knew this wasn’t supposed to be my story. 

That’s when I decided I had to get to the root of these problems because I sure didn’t want to go on living that way.

I used my keen research skills and discovered that most of my problems had a common thread. They were all linked to what I put into my mouth.

It turned out that the standard North American diet I was consuming was full of non-food substances like preservatives, emulsifiers, and hidden sugars that harm our bodies. These anti-nutrients exist even in "healthy" foods and can lead to digestive and hormonal problems. They can also cause us to develop food sensitivities that can negatively affect any and every part of our body.

Using the published research on the Elimination Diet, I began eliminating common trigger foods from my diet and tracking how my body reacted. I also embraced new cooking methods to maximize mu nutrition absorption.

Over time, I discovered the exact foods that were linked to my health issues and the ones that my body thrived on. With the combination of the Elimination Diet and other strategies I discovered in nutrition research, I was able to create a personalized nutrition plan that specifically addressed the needs of MY body, and the results were nothing short of amazing.

My skin became clearer, my energy and mood sky-rocketed, my menstrual cycles normalized, my digestion dramatically improved and my body finally looked and felt great!

The Elimination Phase

An Elimination Diet is an important tool for identifying your unique food sensitivities so you can eat the foods your body loves!

You’ll be provided with all of the resources you need to complete the Elimination Diet, including the common trigger foods to avoid, a clear list of the delicious food to choose from, and guidance on how to prepare tasty meals while using traditional cooking methods for maximum nutrition. The Re-introduction Phase

Is an Elimination Diet right for me?
Only you know the health challenges you are dealing with and how much they are affecting your life.

After experiencing a significant decline in my health, I was really fed up and I was not willing to accept that I would struggle with my health for the rest of my life. Needless to say, my motivation to try something different was high!

I’m so glad I had that turning point because now, my skin is clear and glows, I don’t put any effort into maintaining my ideal body shape, my periods are easy and regular and I feel confident and vibrantly healthy! Can YOU imagine what that feels like?
Will I feel hungry on the Personalized Diet?
Creating your Personalized Diet is not about deprivation or restriction. Instead, it's a process of learning how to listen to your body and nourish it with healthy, delicious foods. 

With this unique two-step method, you'll discover a wide variety of foods that you CAN and SHOULD eat, including colorful vegetables, wholesome whole grains like basmati rice, and protein sources from happy animals or properly prepared plants.

I already follow a special diet with some food restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, celiac, keto…) Will the Elimination Diet interfere with my diet of choice?
Many people who have developed their personalized diets started with food restrictions they chose or they accepted in order to manage health conditions. Most are able to integrate the new requirements of the elimination phase of The Personalized Diet Solution within the framework of their choices - and I do advise everyone to look carefully at the list of Foods to Avoid in the book.  

If you are unwilling to temporarily give up chocolate, dairy, soft drinks, sugar, corn, soy, and eggs (along with the other foods on the list for the elimination phase), then I would recommend that you wait until your motivation to get healthy outweighs your attachment to the familiar comfort zone.
Why do I have to go through an elimination phase?
The elimination phase is an important first step in the Personalized Diet Solution because it allows your body to take a break from potential irritants and triggers. By removing the foods that commonly cause reactions in our bodies, we can help reduce inflammation and give your body a chance to heal.

I highly recommend taking the elimination phase seriously, as it can lead to amazing results for your health. By eliminating the sources of potential problems, you may experience improvements in weight management, clearer skin, and smoother digestion.

How long do I have to eliminate foods for?
The full elimination phase is 4 weeks long, and is an important first step in the Personalized Diet Solution because it allows your body to take a break from potential irritants and triggers. How much extra time will it take each day?
I understand that you have a busy life, so I’ve made sure to keep these recipes simple and easy to prepare. Most of the ingredients are likely already in your kitchen right now! As a busy doctor-preneur with 2 vivacious boys, these are the real-life, go-to recipes that help me feed myself and my family well –even with a jam-packed schedule.

Throughout the process, I'll guide you on food preparation practices to optimize your health and your results. For example, by taking a few extra minutes in the morning or evening to soak grains, nuts, and rice, you can significantly reduce their natural anti-nutrients, resulting in better gut health.

With a little bit of planning ahead, you'll find that incorporating these practices into your routine is effortless and provides a big nutritional bang for your buck.
When is the best time to start?
I don’t advise starting an Elimination Diet if you’re pregnant or lactating, or if you’re planning a big event within the next few weeks where you’ll feel pressure to eat foods that are normally restricted during the elimination phase.

However, if you’re having trouble getting pregnant, then eliminating foods that your body is not handling well and developing your Personalized Diet may be exactly what your body needs to thrive and to nurture a new life.
How long will it take?
I want you to know upfront that developing your Personalized Diet will take time and commitment. In fact, it will be a life project. Once you start experiencing the results, you will want to stick with it and keep finetuning it for the rest of your life because it helps you feel SO GOOD!! 

The first step, the elimination phase, will take a minimum of 4 weeks. The second step, the re-introduction phase, can take several weeks depending on how you choose to re-introduce your foods

Once you complete both steps, you will know what foods your body responds well to and which ones are problematic. That doesn’t mean you have to completely avoid them; it just means that you have to accept the adverse effects that may arise if you choose to eat them.

I developed this book so that you won’t have to go through the lengthy trial-and-error process I did! It took me 3 years to discover my Personalized Diet and get back to glowing health. - This book will allow you to speed up that process into a matter of months!
